Does the bottom FNPT connection lead to the vessel itself while the side connections are for jacket heat exchange?
8" x 12" Jacketed Collection Base - 1.5" TC Ports
The details table says that there are 3x" FNPT jacket connections, but I don't see why you would need more than one inlet and one outlet for hot / cool heat exchanging fluid. Am I correct to assume that one of these (the bottom FNPT connection) is a drain from the vessel itself?

That is correct. Two on opposing sides for the jacket and the center bottom port for draining.
