It can freeze dry any food or liquid, it must be lower in fat content though. Otherwise, it will not dry correctly. Hard candy is particularly great to use, whereas gummy candy is more difficult. We do not have any recipes, just a general template included in the manual. This freeze dryer is fully adjustable unlike other companies units. Being such there is a learning curve to using it.
